LEFTOVERS.WHAT REMAINS

From Friday 31^st March to Friday 21^st April at the Sala Veratti of the Varese City Hall, an exhibition will be staged that intends to propose a reflection on the concept of "remainder", "leftover".

The works, created by five young emerging artists, not only contemplate partiality, but make it a founding value of the artistic product, associated with the body - in the works of Cassina, De Giorgi and Ibba - or with the notion of memory - in those of Erba and Rallias - the fragment becomes the key element of a new awareness.

The Vernissage of the exhibition will be on Friday 31^st March at 6.00 p.m.

Free entrance.

The exhibition will be enriched with a series of events open to all with moments dedicated to an in-depth examination of the themes dealt with in the exhibition. A unique opportunity to approach young emerging art. Below is the programme of events:

Friday 31^st March from 6 p.m. - Vernissage in the presence of the artists. The councillor for culture, La Forgia, and the WG art association will speak with a small introductory hat to present the exhibition. Following this, the artists and the curator will be available for any questions from the public.
Saturday 1^st April from 5.30 p.m. - Event dedicated to an in-depth examination of the artists' poetics. At particularly busy times, the artists will freely read some texts that are particularly significant to them, remaining available for any questions from the public.
Saturday 8^th April from 6 p.m. - Opera singing event. Singer Mariam Cassina will interpret the works on show through a selection of operatic pieces.
Friday 21^st April from 5.30 p.m. - Event dedicated to an in-depth exploration of the artists' poetics in the form of a talk, moderated by Thomas Ba (WG Art). The artists will talk about the works in the exhibition and their work in general, answering questions from the audience.
