Also this year it is time for the main event for reserves and Lipu Oasis: the festival of the Oases that in 2025 sees an important year 60 years since the foundation of Lipu. Many initiatives in all the realities of Italy, in the province of Varese awaits you a rich program of events at the Riserva Palude Brabbia.

A special day to welcome all the public and live an experience in nature among guided tours, surveys of butterflies, edible wild herbs, challenges between families, readings and an aperitif to toast together with 60 years of the
Lipu.

Programme of the day:

TO KNOW AND OBSERVE BUTTERFLIES h 10 and h 14.30
Accompanied by Valerio Orioli we will go to discover the biology and ecological role of these insects, observing them with the entomological screen and classifying them. Citizen Science activities within the Bioblitz days of Regiona Lombardia and in collaboration with Campo dei Fiori park.

ORNITHOLOGICAL GUIDED TOUR
A walk in the integral reserve area up to the observation tower, where thanks to binoculars, you will observe the fauna present. Between curiosity about the winged world and scientific explanation guides will accompany you in this fascinating world.

ENIGMI PALUSTRI (from 7 years)
A series of puzzles and tests that families divided into teams will have to solve to find the final solution. Strange characters along the paths of the oasis will help or not children and parents to reach their goal. And you will be able to solve the puzzle?

ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN (3/6 years)
Japanese theatre Kamishibai "animals in celebration", movement games and a small workshop to make simple puppets with recovered materials. An afternoon to live with mom and dad... and finally dive into a nice snack!

WEEDS IN THE PAN
A walk through the meadows of the oasis accompanied by Rosella Aresi and Ombretta Tuligi who will teach you to recognize edible wild herbs and their use in cooking. We will learn to use flowers and plants that are often mistakenly considered "weeds", but which were once widely used by our grandparents as they hide healthy properties as well as being excellent ingredients to enrich our dishes. At 4:30 PM HERB HUNT!  To prove yourself in the recognition of edible herbs and try to win the coveted prize (jams and herbal preparations of Ombretta).

THE CORNER OF POETRY h. 18.00 our volunteer Martina will read some
poems, taken from his latest fresh print book!

Followed by an APERITIF all together will close the day.

From 15.30 there will be some stalls on bees, wood carving and other surprise.
