The history of the Museum, established in 1966 with the name of Civic Gallery of Modern Art of Gallarate, coincides with that of its collection which was born and expanded following the acquisitions of the National Prize for Visual Arts of the City of Gallarate starting from its first edition in 1950.

The farm is located in Origgio, in the province of Varese, a few minutes from Milan and is also easily reachable from Como. It is in the countryside, close to the Parco dei Mughetti. The main activity is the cultivation of the land, the harvest of which is intended for animal feed.

In 2003, the Ai Boschi farmhouse was renovated to become an agritourism restaurant. Through the genuine cuisine of products such as meat, cured meats, eggs, milk and derivatives, vegetables and fruit, an added value is given to the work of all time.
