Gattabuia APS was founded in 2018 with the idea of using contemporary photography as a tool for connection, reflection, and personal growth. Over the years, the association has developed autobiographical visual orientation programs, photographic storytelling workshops, and participatory cultural initiatives involving hundreds of young people and adults.
The association is made up of curators, educators, and cultural project managers with expertise in photography and visual arts, education and guidance, cultural communication, and participatory design.
The group founded INSIGHT Foto Festival, bringing contemporary photography into schools and public spaces while offering emerging talents opportunities for experimentation. Gattabuia APS designs and develops projects aimed at encouraging youth participation, enhancing talent, and addressing social discomfort through the use of photography as a tool for citizenship and wellbeing.
