The Olympic Torch Crosses the Local Cities: Here’s the Route and the Stops
On February 4th at 9:30 a.m., the Olympic Torch will depart from Via Pegoraro, marking the start of a 2.4-kilometer route through the historic and lively streets of Gallarate. The route will pass some of the city’s most iconic locations, including Piazza Risorgimento, Via Roma, Via Mazzini, Via Cavour, Corso Italia, and Viale Milano. Sixteen torchbearers will take turns carrying the flame, with the names of the participants being kept strictly confidential.
Before reaching Legnano, the Torch will stop in Busto Arsizio around 10:56 a.m., crossing Viale Repubblica, Via Quintino Sella, Piazza San Michele, Piazza Manzoni, Corso Europa, Via Felice Cavallotti, Piazza Santa Maria, Via Cavour, Piazza San Giovanni, Via Milano, and Piazza Garibaldi, before continuing along Corso XX Settembre toward Castellanza.
The Torch is expected to arrive in Legnano on February 4th around 1:00 p.m., traveling along Via Micca, Corso Italia, and Largo Tosi, passing near the Town Hall, then turning onto Via Lampugnani and completing its walking leg to the Sempione. From there, the flame will continue by other means toward Saronno, where the walking route will resume.
This event unites sport, history, and community, bringing the magic of the Olympics directly into our city streets and offering residents and visitors the chance to experience the passing of the Flame up close—a symbol of unity and Olympic passion.
