MINI-CRUISES - HISTORIC SAILING TOURS

Event subject to payment: adults 35€ and children under 15 20€.

The Striga Constanze, Star and Santa Marta vintage sails of the Associazione Vele d'Epoca Verbano will set sail from the Hapsburg Port of Angera during the weekend at 9-11.30 am and 3.30 pm.

This is a now traditional appointment much awaited by tourists and visitors who, for about two hours, accompanied by the Association's captains, will be able to admire the views of the two shores cradled by the waves of the Verbano, appreciate at first hand the care dedicated to the restoration of these historic boats, listen to curiosities about navigation, particularities about the winds, and learn about the extraordinary passion and experience of the sailors.

• Guests will be welcomed and embarked in 3-4-5 persons at a time, depending on the capacity of the sail.

Wine-growing tradition 

9.30 a.m. 

A morning walk through the local vineyards that have been producing fine wines certified IGT Ronchi Varesini for centuries. The itinerary will run from the Archaeological Museum in the heart of the Borgo di Angera along CAI path 614E to the lower entrance of the Cascina Piano di Angera in Via Prato Fiorito. It will be a splendid opportunity to hear about "geology and wine" accompanied by an expert and qualified guide. 

SUNDAY 17 SEPTEMBER 

Glances into the past. From Plant Palaeontology to the History of Angera

9.30 a.m. 

A walk along the Sentiero degli Alberi e delle Erbe (Path of Trees and Herbs) discovering their most ancient history and what links the flora to local traditions, accompanied by a tourist guide specialised in archaeology and a hiking guide.
