From Caldè to the Pizzo di Cuvignone

The hiking route from Caldè, affectionately called the "Portofino del Lago Maggiore", to the Rifugio Adamoli on the Pizzo di Cuvignone, offers an exciting experience through unfrequented roads and mule tracks. This route combines spectacular views, cultural and naturalistic points of interest, culminating in one of the most fascinating villages in the region.


Itinerary:

  1. Departure from Caldè: The route starts in Caldè, a picturesque town overlooking Lake Maggiore. Known as the "Portofino of Lake Maggiore" for its beauty, Caldè offers a serene environment with breathtaking views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. From here, you take the path that leads to the heights.
  2. Ascent to the Rifugio Adamoli on the Pizzo di Cuvignone: Crossing unfrequented roads and mule tracks, the route gradually climbs up to the Rifugio Adamoli, located on the Pizzo di Cuvignone. This refuge is a perfect place for a break, offering shelter and refreshment to hikers, as well as a panoramic view of the valley below and Lake Maggiore.
  3. Passage to the Church of Sant'Antonio: After a stop at the Rifugio Adamoli, the itinerary continues towards the Church of Sant'Antonio. This church, situated in an exceptional panoramic position, offers spectacular views of the surrounding region. It is an ideal place for a moment of reflection and to enjoy the beauty of the landscape.
  4.
