FAI Spring Days, the most important nationwide public event dedicated to Italy’s cultural and landscape heritage, reaches its 34th edition.
FAI’s flagship event, now in its 34th year, will take place on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March and will focus entirely on Italy’s extraordinary and rich heritage, to be discovered and rediscovered through guided visits – with a voluntary contribution – offered by FAI volunteers in over 750 sites, usually inaccessible or little known, across 400 cities.
A special weekend to reconnect with Italy’s history and culture, allowing visitors to feel part of the territories in which they live and whose beauty and value they often do not fully know. Historic villas and palaces, archaeological areas, churches of great architectural or historical-artistic value, examples of industrial archaeology, castles, libraries, art collections and museums will be opened to the public.
There will also be itineraries through historic villages, revealing lesser-known corners of the Italian landscape where hidden treasures are preserved and ancient traditions are passed down, as well as educational visits to urban parks, botanical gardens, historic gardens and courtyards, reflecting the Foundation’s commitment to promoting a broader “culture of nature”.
Information on the open sites will follow.
At each open site, visitors will find a welcome desk, where volunteers will provide information and carry out the necessary registration for the visit.
