Christmas tree lighting in Piazza Monte Grappa and illumination of the city streets.
The event will feature an exciting musical performance with singers and a children’s school choir. In the center of Piazza Monte Grappa, a large light installation—one of the most loved symbols by visitors—will also make its return.

Christmas Market in Piazza Monte Grappa, Varese!
The main street in the city center will fill with stalls offering handicrafts, decorations, and local culinary specialties!
A true Christmas village with over 30 wooden huts, decorated and lit up for the holidays, where you can find gift ideas, crafts, ornaments, gourmet specialties, and traditional products from all over Italy.
Every weekend, the market will come alive with shows, creative workshops, and entertainment for children and families.

On Friday, November 28, 2025, at 6:00 PM, the lighting ceremony of the “Giardino delle Meraviglie” will take place in the park of Palazzo Estense.
More than 500,000 lights will illuminate the streets and squares, while 15 kilometers of light strings will brighten the Giardino delle Meraviglie.

Winter Magic at Villa Panza

A creative workshop designed to introduce children to contemporary art during the enchanting days leading up to Christmas. Amid the magic of the park and the evocative spaces of the villa, children will be guided to discover the scents, colors, and shapes of nature, transforming materials collected in the garden into a real work of art: a unique and precious keepsake of a journey through art and nature, one that will remain in the hearts and memories of participants.

“Let Me Tell You About Villa Panza” — Special Guided Tours

11:30 AM and 3:30 PM — FAI Villa e Collezione Panza, Piazza Litta 2

A special guided tour that retraces, like a journey through time, the history of Villa Panza and the families who lived here.
Through historical images and the story of its rooms through the centuries, we will explore the villa following the traces of the Orrigoni family, learn about the history and brilliant intuition of Marquis Menafoglio, and relive the splendor, balls, and banquets of the Litta era.
Finally, we will discover how the Panza family transformed and lived in different parts of the villa, and how Giuseppe Panza made “the house of Biumo” the home of one of the world’s most renowned contemporary art collections.

SINTONIE — 2025 Chamber Music Season

Following the success of its first year, the Marcello Morandini Foundation is pleased to present the new edition of Sintonie, its chamber music season, which continues to strengthen the bond between the city of Varese, musical excellence, and the public.

This ambitious project also pays tribute to Karin and Karl Megerle, an American couple of collectors passionate not only about art but also about music, whose generous donation contributed significantly to the creation of the museum dedicated to the work of Marcello Morandini.

Sintonie aims to be a place of encounter and culture, where high-level performances blend with meaningful human interaction.
