During the Christmas holiday period, Casa Museo Pogliaghi will be exceptionally open for guided tours. Here are the details:

• Saturday, December 6 to Monday, December 8, 2025: guided tour at 3:00 PM

• Friday, December 26, 2025 to Tuesday, January 6, 2026: daily guided tour at 3:00 PM

• Wednesday, December 31, 2025: closed

On the occasion of the Sant’Ambrogio holiday, a special guided tour will take place at the Sacro Monte di Varese.

Guided tour of the village, the Sanctuary, and the Crypt, focusing on the life of Saint Ambrose and his connection with Santa Maria del Monte.

Sunday, January 4, 2026 – 11:00 AM
As part of the special holiday openings of the museums of the Sacro Monte, a guided tour will be available at the Baroffio Museum and the Sanctuary.

December 28, 2025 at 8:30 PM – Torchlight Procession at the Sacred Mount

Eighth edition of the year-end Torchlight Procession along the Avenue of the Chapels.
Departure from the 1st Chapel at 8:30 PM with torches and flambeaux.
Arrival, after about one hour, at the Moses terrace where the Alpine troops will distribute mulled wine, tea, panettone and pandoro, accompanied by Christmas music played by the young musicians of the Comerio Philharmonic Association.
The Pogliaghi House Museum will be open for the occasion.
