Ring of Fornaci di Ispra

 “Sentiero delle  Fornaci”, meaning the furnaces’ path in Ispra, is a panoramic itinerary which belongs to the “Vie del Verde”.

Parking the car near the tourist office of Ispra which is located a few meters from the lake, you can see the beginning of the path VVL-L1 which will be the guideline of the entire route.

You can start the circular path from wherever you want and go on following the red and white signs.

Starting from the tourist office you first meet a dirt road that goes along the lake from which you can admire some of the historic villas of the town, after which you continue through the forest going up towards the city but stopping shortly at the Furnace in Salvalada. The path continues along Via delle Fornaci to return to the shores of the Lake and reach the Furnace and the Pinett harbor which, with its panoramic terrace identifies itself as an ideal place for a break. The last stretch on the lakeside leads to the last Furnace of the street called Fornace della Punta which is also located, as its name says, on the tip of the peninsula under a small promontory.

The path continues and begins the way back towards the tourist office proceeding on the ring through the center of the city of Ispra passing in front of the town hall before going down to the lake.
