The idea and the reasons of the exhibition dedicated to the Nineteen photographic works of Giorgio Colombo are due to the affinity of thought that distinguishes the thirty-year collaboration between the photographer and Giuseppe Panza di Biumo who entrusts him with the task of documenting the work collected and set up over time in different exhibition spaces. 

The entire corpus consists of one hundred and five shots in black and white and eight in color, made between 1975 and 1992 and printed, at the request of Giuseppe Panza di Biumo, in 1993. The photographs are arranged in chronological order and collected to document some exhibition projects developed by Panza for the exhibition of his collection in the Varese villa and in important European institutions. Some shots with a private character then return the visual story of fragments of life of the collector, including images of the house, the family, everyday life, travel and meetings with artists, curators, critics.
