A special guided tour to retrace, like a journey through time, the history of Villa Panza and the families who lived here.
Through historical images and stories of how the rooms evolved over the centuries, we’ll follow the traces of the Orrigoni family, discover the Marquis Menafoglio and his brilliant insights, and relive the splendor, dances, and banquets of the Litta era.
Finally, we’ll explore how the Panza family transformed and inhabited different parts of the Villa, and how Giuseppe Panza turned “the house in Biumo” into one of the most renowned contemporary art collections in the world.

Not Everything Is as It Seems
Rule no. 1 for becoming a true explorer? Never believe everything you see!
At Villa Panza, too, not everything is as it appears: in some artworks, hidden details, shades, and invisible marks wait to be noticed and revealed through careful observation.
This workshop invites children and families to explore the poetics of key artists from the Panza Collection—such as Phil Sims, Ruth Ann Fredenthal, and David Simpson—who have worked on the theme of the materiality of color. Each artist’s unique approach becomes the starting point for children to create their own artwork, with color as the main character, to be explored freely through imagination and creativity.
