EVENTI AL MONASTERO DI TORBA

Here are some spring proposals!

The day begins with a guided tour in Italian and Italian Sign Language (LIS) and concludes with a shared snack prepared by Locanda Antica Torre.
Throughout the day, participants will take part in small awareness activities, discover finger spelling (dactylology), and learn some signs—exploring new ways of communicating and connecting with others.

When: Sunday 12 April

Following the Lombards – Guided Tour between Castelseprio and Torba

The visit begins at the archaeological site of Castelseprio, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011, a fortified complex on a hilltop at the entrance of the pre-Alpine valleys, where Goths, Lombards, and Carolingians left traces of their presence, turning it into the judicial and military centre of a vast territory. The tour also includes the nearby oratory of Santa Maria foris portas, home to one of the most important early medieval fresco cycles in Europe. The experience ends at the Monastery of Torba, the first FAI property, whose tower once served as part of the site’s defensive system.

The full itinerary lasts approximately 2.5 hours.

When: 7 June, 6 September 2026
