The trail starts in Reno road in Cerro di Laveno, an elegant residential area, with little traffic, from which we can reach the Ceramics Museum, a notable collection of artifacts of great artistic and historical value housed inside the sixteenth-century Perabò Palace.

A panoramic route leading from Porto Valtravaglia, offering the best views over the lake and mountains in a leisurely cycle along the Via Mediavalle.

Our departure is a lovely promenade, shaded by wide trees, inviting us to enjoy the tranquility of the area and the love for the environment displayed by local residents. We keep the lake to our right and take the SP69 main road in the direction of Laveno.

From Laveno Mombello, one of the most evocative and picturesque tourist centers on the Lombard shore of Lake Maggiore, you climb gently with a comfortable two-seater cableway system up almost to the top of Mount Sasso del Ferro (alt.1100m) from where you can admire the solemn silence of nature, a grandiose and enchanting view of Lake Maggiore, the Alps, the Pre-Alps, the Lombard lakes and the Po Valley.
