On Thursday, June 18, 2026, Castiglione Olona (VA) will host a new event as part of the 21st edition of the Music in Historic Residences festival. Set in the charming Corte del Doro courtyard on Via Roma 29, the concert “La Dolce Vita of the 1950s and 1960s” featuring Patrick Mittiga & The Swing Crew will begin at 9:00 PM.

The performance offers an elegant musical journey through Italian and international classics from the 1950s and 1960s, blending swing, jazz, and timeless evergreen hits. From Sinatra to Modugno, from Buscaglione to Carosone, the show celebrates the spirit of the Dolce Vita era with a refined yet engaging style designed to appeal to a wide audience.

The concert takes place in one of the most picturesque locations in the historic village, home to the MAP – Museum of Plastic Art, which is currently hosting the exhibition “Marinella Pirelli at MAP”, part of the 2026 edition of Archivi Futuri – Festival of Contemporary Archives.

Organized by the Municipality of Castiglione Olona, the event is free of charge. In case of bad weather, the concert will be moved to Palazzo Branda Castiglioni. As seating is limited, advance booking will be required by calling +39 0331 858301 (Culture Office).

Before the concert, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy a special evening opening of the MAP Museum and visit the “Marinella Pirelli at MAP” exhibition, making it a perfect occasion to combine contemporary art and live music in a unique historic setting.
