Mesenzana - Brezzo di Bedero - Pian Nave - Mesenzana

A challenging and largely shaded route through the forests of Valcuvia and Valtravaglia, featuring a scenic ascent to the summit of Monte Pian Nave.

The trail winds through peaceful forest roads before reaching the most demanding section, the climb towards the summit. The effort is well rewarded by spectacular panoramic views over Lake Maggiore and the surrounding Alps and Pre-Alps, including the majestic Monte Rosa, the Campo dei Fiori massif and Monte Generoso.

The route then descends towards Pian di Cuvinic and continues along a forest track to San Michele, a charming mountain village with a beautiful panoramic viewpoint. From here, the Sentiero del Fondista offers a pleasant succession of gentle climbs and descents before returning towards Mesenzana.

An ideal experience for those looking for a challenging adventure surrounded by nature, with rewarding mountain scenery and breathtaking views over Lake Maggiore.
