From the medieval center of Rancio to the slopes of the Campo dei Fiori, near the picnic area, our path starts going northwards along the Via Valganna.

We pass through the village of Valle Ronc where you can admire a beautiful waterfall near the ruins of an ancient mill. From here we easily reach the small town of Masciago Primo.
After a short climb to the north and, in the same direction as the SP11, we arrive at Moniscione where there is an erratic boulder called Sasso della Rossera, on which there are some rock carvings of Celtic origin.
Continuing in the direction of Mount S. Martino, along the way we can enjoy a beautiful view ranging from Luino to Verbano. Then we meet the path of the Cadorna Line, which leads to some historical artifacts from the First World War.
The trail continues northwards, towards Cunardo, through the locality of Mondiscia. Once you reach the SP30 you are near the Orrido of Cunardo.
