The route starts from the convenient Vararo parking lot (725m).

Leave the car and follow the signs. Then we meet the sign indicating the "Pizzoni". We then climb up to Passo Barbè (874m). The cross and the "Pizzoni di Laveno" sign tells us that we have reached the goal a 1018m altitude. To the west of the almost vertical wall we can admire Lake Maggiore, Luino and Maccagno from above.

Continuing along the ridge you get to the top of Monte La Teggia (1106m) and then descend to Passo del Cuvignone (1036m). After about 200m the attack of the descent takes the narrow road closed by a bar. From here it goes back up to reach the top of Monte Nudo, 1235m, the highest and most panoramic peak in the area. From here we descend taking the route forward to find ourselves at the Vararo parking lot.
