Ternate - Corgeno - Ternate

The route is well signposted and can be ridden in either direction without any problems. We recommend starting from Berrini Park in Ternate. If you go round anticlockwise, there is only one climb which is quite easy. There are stables on the right of the track before you descend to the most characteristic stretch, where a wooden platform has been built over the lake for twenty or thirty yards. If you need a break, we highly recommend stopping at the lido in Corgeno, which is on the other side of the lake from where you started. By the arched railway bridge in Varano Borghi on the way back from Corgeno to Ternate, there is a turn off for Lake Varese, which takes you though woodland on the edge of the LIPU Brabbia Marshes Nature Reserve for about 4 km (2.5 miles).
