Lake Comabbio is home to a diverse range of wildlife and flora that has found the perfect habitat in which to thrive, partly thanks to the complete ban on the use of motorboats.
The lake takes its name from the charming village of Comabbio. The beach offers plenty of facilities and the surrounding area is mainly woodland. A cycling route and footpath about 12.5 km (nearly 8 miles) long circles the entire lake, offering enchanting glimpses of the spectacular surrounding countryside. An ingenious wooden platform has also been built so that visitors can ride suspended above the water for over five hundred yards. There is also a cycling route that links up with the bike path at Lake Varese.
