The third traveling edition of Veddasca Sound returns with a richer program. There will be three concerts in the villages of the Valley during the summer months and  five concerts of classical music, leading up to the final festival to be held in early September.

The protagonist of this event is the Veddasca Valley, where sounds and colors intersect with the landscape and breathe new life into the area and its community, welcoming anyone who wants a break from the urban rhythms.

Veddasca Sound is a cultural project of Associazione Veddasca Insieme and Pro Loco Maccagno in collaboration with MusicArte and with the patronage of the Municipality of Maccagno con Pino and Veddasca and the contribution of the Fondazione Comunitaria del Varesotto.

LA MUSICA  CHE SALE - MUSIC IN THE VILLAGES

This year, compared to past editions, the territorial extent increases with the number of events. The imaginary path of the concerts will go from the lake to the peaks of Veddasca, passing through three villages in the municipality of Maccagno con Pino and Veddasca.

The concerts will merge with light design and new art languages, thanks to the dialogue with Valle Sacra projects in the local art residencies. In fact, the works of two female artists, assignees of the residencies, will be exhibited in a diffuse open-air exhibition throughout the villages of the valley, accompanying the Veddasca Sound concerts and revealing a new point of view on Veddasca.

• Saturday, August 20, 2023 - Biegno at 6 p.m.

LA MUSICA CHE SALE - CLASSICAL MUSIC

MusicArte presents classical music concerts in the churches of the Veddasca Valley villages. Free admission, reservations recommended.

• Saturday, July 22 - "Antiche melodie" by the Quadri/Di Domenico duo. The concert will be held in Graglio at 8:45 p.m.
• Saturday, July 29 - "Travel notes" by Trio Calicantus. The concert will be held in Garabiolo at 8:45 p.m. 
• Thursday, August 10 - "The Great Amadeus" with the Soloists of the MusicArte Orchestra. The concert will be held in Armio at 8:45 p.m. 
• Saturday, August 19 - "Paganini Inspires Art" by the 10-string Duo. The concert will be held in Lozzo at 8:45 p.m.
• Saturday, August 26 - "Dreams are wishes! Disney in music" by the MusicArte orchestra. The concert will be held in Cadero at 8:45 p.m.

VEDDASCA SOUND FESTIVAL

The last appointment will be held at Forcora Pass on Saturday, September 2, 2023. It will be a day entirely dedicated to concerts and DJ sets, with a fresh, young lineup far from urban rhythms. Numerous musical performances will meet visual arts and the art of photography, with the common goal of promoting the Veddasca Valley and its beauty.
