From Saturday, May 27 to Thursday, July 27, the Villa Mirabello Civic Museums in Varese will host the anthological exhibition "Giovanni La Rosa. Grammar of the Sign", dedicated to the leading artist on the Varese and national art scene. The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Varese, the University of Insubria, the Center for Research on the History of Contemporary Art and the Association of Free Artists of the Province of Varese.

The exhibition consists of more than fifty works, covering a chronological time frame from 1975 to the latest production. The exhibition itinerary is characterized by different thematic sections presenting historical works, sign works, geometric works, and projects. The line is definitely the chosen compositional element. The relationship with writing on the one hand, and the tension toward geometric abstraction on the other, are further foundational aspects of Giovanni La Rosa's work.

• The opening will be held on Saturday, May 27, at 6 p.m., with a musical performance by the Sinapsi collective.
