An appointment to discover the Trenches of the Cadorna Line. This time moving to the rear, built close to the Great War, trenches but also bunkers, tunnels and battery posts in Valcuvia.

• November 26 - The Bevera Valley in Arcisate. The importance of a wet area... and lunch in a trattoria

Simple circular excursion in Valle della Bevera to discover the "Corridoi Insubrici" project and get to know this little-known valley.

The Valle della Bevera was recognized as PLIS (Local Park of Supra-municipal Interest) in 2016; since then it has been the subject of important interventions to protect biodiversity. In particular, a wetland area was created from scratch in a particular site due to the geological substrate.

• 4 December - Glück auf! Let's celebrate together Santa Barbara on Monte Grumello!

Ring route to Monte Grumello starting from the FNM station of Porto Ceresio. We will go to the discovery of the mining tradition, of the devotion to Santa Barbara, patroness of miners.

• 8 December - Reflections of the Full Moon on Lake Maggiore at the Quassa Park

Night walk in the light of the last full moon of the year, meeting and getting to know the vegetation of the Quassa Park, from the fields to the woods up to the cane thicket of the beach on Lake Maggiore.

Along a circular route between the lawn and the lake, the Quassa environment will be explored, walking in the dark, illuminated by torches, going to recognize the trees that characterize this park. Walnuts, oaks and hazelnuts in the first part between meadow and wood; willows, cypresses and alders directly on the beach.

• December 10 - On the Smugglers' Trails with lunch at the shepherd's

Excursions to Varese: Romantic smuggling is that of 'blondes' - cigarettes, but it is also the smuggling of basic necessities such as coffee and rice during the war.

The area that will be explored during the trek between Varese and Ticino, on Lake Lugano and in Switzerland, has been affected for years by this phenomenon of love and hate between financiers and smugglers. The Antea Guide, daughter of a generation of smugglers, was born and raised in these places, and among legends and anecdotes she will surprise us with the laughter and adventures of these men and women from the Valceresio.

• December 17 - Breathing Christmas in the "Valle dei Mulini"

A few km from Varese and Como, an enchanted valley is hidden with ancient mills and gigantic galleries and tunnels dug into the rock by man until 1900. No one would ever believe it, yet similar jewels have escaped time that destroys everything and Nature that everything covers and takes back with itself. During the excursion, you will arrive at the Mulino del Trotto with its gears and its centuries-old history, exploring the Valley of the Mills, and discovering the history of these pleasant places through its stories. Ciaspolata with circular route above Lake Maggiore: departure from Passo della Forcora at an altitude of 1200 m to arrive at the village of Monterecchio, a wonderful natural balcony overlooking the Swiss and Italian Alps between Lombardy and Piedmont.

• January 29 - Remembrance Day: fleeing Nazi-fascism in Valceresio

On Holocaust Remembrance Day we will walk along the paths of salvation outside Varese. In the footsteps of Jews and political dissidents who refused to serve the Republic of Salò, they were forced to flee to Switzerland and acquire new identities. Their journey began in Milan, where a group of Scouts began the secret operation O.S.C.A.R.
