EVENTS IN NATURE IN LIPU OASIS

Discover below the interesting proposals of the month of October aimed at discovering and observing the fauna present in the Nature Reserve and Oasis Lipu Brabbia Swamp.

Saturday 1 and Saturday 22 h. 15.00 - Workshop Watercolor

We depict nature in all its beauty! Two meetings aimed at adults and children to learn how to depict the nature and the wonderful colors of autumn! Let’s prepare the brushes! We will create autumn botanical tables: leaves, berries, fruits and everything that nature can offer us!

Saturday 1 h. 17.30 - Aperitif in Torretta

In the magic of the sunset seen from our observation tower and entertained by our guides we will discover the curiosities of the nocturnal animals, observing the last movements of the crepuscular fauna. Followed by aperitif with local products such as honey made in our hives, wines IGT Ronchi Varesini (Vitivinicola Laghi d'Insubria) and goat cheese of our province. We are waiting for you to savor with all your senses the beauty of the colors, scents, flavors and songs of our Reserve!

Sunday 2 h. 9.30 - EuroBirdWathcing 2022

EuroBirdwatching is the international day of migratory birds! This event is organized by LIPU and its partners and is held throughout Europe for 30 years on the first weekend of October. It’s a chance to learn how to do birdwatching while we take you to the observation tower inside the integral reserve.

It’s the migratory period of passage, in fact the birds perceive the change of season and here some of them are ready to face a long journey, thousands of kilometers, to return to the warm lands. At the same time, others are preparing to come to us: our environments will be their home throughout the winter.

Saturday 8 h. 14.30 - Smart photos in nature
An opportunity to discover methods and techniques to get beautiful photos with your mobile. Nowadays smartphones have more and more functions, even in the photographic field. We learn to get the best from the "smart" photographs during a walk along the paths of the oasis, accompanied by Massimo Valerio di Yeehgo: choose the frame to create our "composition", take advantage of natural light to illuminate scenes and discover how to play with depth of field and some element of photo editing from the app. Whether it’s a landscape photo or a macro, even with a mobile phone we can give vent to our passion for photography and Nature!

Sunday 9 h. 14.30 - Naturalist for a day You’re ready to become a naturalist! There are a series of tests along the paths of the Oasis between recognition avifauna, search for traces and naturalistic quizzes... Can you overcome them all? We are sure! Event dedicated to children aged 8 and over.

Children from 4 to 7 years will live a fairy tale with strange protagonists and a mission to accomplish!

Sunday 23 h. 14.30 - Riding between Binoculars and GlassesBike ride to the observation tower where we will find birds of prey and other inhabitants of the Swamp just arrived after the migration. We will complete the tour in the various observation points of the Reserve and enjoy a final aperitif with local products.
