Gattabuia APS is an organization founded in Varese in 2018. We are particularly active in the field of contemporary photography and are distinguished by a strong multidisciplinary focus, promoting art and new visual languages as tools for knowledge, transformation, and cultural well-being.

Since 2021, we have been organizing the INSIGHT Foto Festival in Varese, which each year transforms the city into a widespread exhibition space dedicated to contemporary photography, with a particular focus on supporting and promoting young emerging artists.

In collaboration with schools, universities, and academies, we carry out educational projects that allow students to participate in the festival by exhibiting their own projects (high schools) or to gain hands-on experience through internships in the areas of curation, production, and project communication (universities and academies).

Services:

·      guided tours of the exhibitions: led by team members at designated times outside of weekend opening hours, the tours are aimed at school groups and community groups with the goal of exploring specific sections of the exhibition and offering hands-on experiences;
·      opportunities for in-depth engagement with the artists, including the “artist walk,” a guided tour of the exhibition where the artists themselves present their work to the public;
·      collateral events: talks, screenings, meetings, and presentations, organized in collaboration with our cultural partners.

The festival and all related activities are completely free and open to everyone.
