Canottieri Luino is one of the most active rowing associations in the dynamics of Italian rowing: founded in 1888, the same year as the foundation of the Italian Rowing Federation, then known as the "Italian Rowing Club". The Canottieri headquarters is located in Luino and after several renovations it boasts: environments more suitable for social activity, a renovated gym, services, offices, common spaces and outdoor areas capable of offering great welcome and hospitality to the Club's patrons.

The Recovery Center proposes itself as a front-line promoter of sports tourism which, through rowing, enhances the lake and the pre-Alpine territory of the province of Varese.
A second office is operational in Lavena Ponte Tresa, on the shores of Lake Lugano, where there are better conditions of the body of water for the practice of the discipline and where important projects for the diffusion of rowing among the children of local schools have been developed.
