After the success of the first year, the Marcello Morandini Foundation is pleased to present the new edition of "Sintonie", its chamber music season, which continues to strengthen the link between the city of Varese, musical excellence and the public.

This ambitious project is also born to pay tribute to Karin and Karl Megerle, a couple of American collectors who are not only passionate about art but also music, whose generous donation contributed in a fundamental way to the realization of the museum dedicated to the work of Marcello Morandini.

"Sintonie" wants to be a meeting place and culture, where moments of high executive level are mixed with real moments of human interaction.

This year’s concert season will feature fifteen musicians from the Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala in Milan, two internationally renowned soloists—Davide Cabassi, a “top-prize winner” at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2005, and Michele Gamba, a conductor, appearing as a pianist.

Among the musicians performing will be Alfredo Persichilli and Fabrizio Meloni, Principal Cellist and Principal Clarinetist of the Teatro alla Scala Orchestra and the Filarmonica della Scala in Milan, respectively. Both have performed as soloists in the most important concertos of the repertoire.

Also appearing as guests this season will be Luca Ranieri, Principal Viola of the RAI National Orchestra of Turin, and Francesco Senese, chamber musician and soloist. Composer Carlo Galante will be present at the October 11 concert for the world premiere of his new composition.

During the concerts, musicians will have the opportunity to share details of the concert or personal reflections, thus enriching the experience of those present. At the end of the concert, there will be an opportunity to share a second dialogue, accompanied by a glass of prosecco, to further enrich the musical experience.
