After the success of the first year, the Marcello Morandini Foundation is pleased to present the new edition of "Sintonie", its chamber music season, which continues to strengthen the link between the city of Varese, musical excellence and the public.

This ambitious project is also born to pay tribute to Karin and Karl Megerle, a couple of American collectors who are not only passionate about art but also music, whose generous donation contributed in a fundamental way to the realization of the museum dedicated to the work of Marcello Morandini.

"Sintonie" wants to be a meeting place and culture, where moments of high executive level are mixed with real moments of human interaction.

This year the concert season will see seven musicians from the Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, including four first parts, and two pianists of international fame, Giuseppe Andaloro and Davide Cabassi.

Seven concerts, one Sunday a month at 11:00, from May to December 2025.

Three concerts will be performed by the Quartet in residence at the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo of Milan, from which it takes its name. The Quartet will develop an executive path from the formation of the Quartet, chamber training par excellence, until the twentieth century. Works of the eighteenth century by four of the most important composers for quartet: Boccherini, Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven will be performed. Composers who have marked the history of music and the evolutionary path of the string quartet. These great authors are joined by Ferruccio Busoni and Carlo Galante.  The latter will be present at the concert of 14 December, on the occasion of the first performance of his new composition, "Suspended and bright", written specifically for the Quartet of the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano.

During the concerts, musicians will have the opportunity to share details of the concert or personal reflections, thus enriching the experience of those present. At the end of the concert, there will be an opportunity to share a second dialogue, accompanied by a glass of prosecco, to further enrich the musical experience.

In addition to admission to the concert, the public will have the opportunity, included in the ticket price, to visit the new temporary exhibition inaugurated at the end of March, together with the museum’s permanent collection, before the start of the musical performance.
