Get ready to enjoy a unique experience designed for the whole family! The traditional agricultural fair “Agrivarese in Città” returns to Varese, in the heart of the city, set within the beautiful surroundings of the Giardini Estensi and the park of Villa Mirabello.

On Sunday, April 12, this event dedicated to the local agricultural world will bring these charming spaces to life, offering a special opportunity to discover the area’s finest products up close.

The aim of the event is to promote and enhance local agricultural production, encouraging connections between the general public and local farms, and bringing visitors of all ages closer to the professions and values of the agricultural world.

Throughout the day, the event will feature a rich program of initiatives, new participants, and engaging activities designed to make the experience even more dynamic and enjoyable.

For the occasion, the Infopoint will be relocated to the Giardini Estensi, where visitors will be welcomed and assisted throughout the event.

Planned activities:

ATS Insubria stand: activities focused on promoting the health of people, animals, and the environment in a practical and accessible way.

Association of Bakers of the Province of Varese: offering fresh, artisanal bread and baked goods. A hands-on workshop for children will also be available, where young “bakers” can try making dough, guided by teachers and students from the Varese Vocational Training Centre.

Astronatura Cooperative: at the Park of Villa Mirabello, educational and training activities in astronomy, nature, and human-animal interaction.

Associazione Micologica Bresadola: a fascinating mushroom exhibition at the Salone Estense.

Institute of Agricultural Biology and Biotechnology: an interactive journey through images, videos, and educational materials to discover local livestock breeds of Lombardy.

Associazione Orticola Varesina: activities for adults and children focused on nature, including plant pruning and workshops on olive growing and bread-making.

Time to Breed: a unique opportunity to admire some of the most spectacular tropical butterflies and moths up close.

Volunteer Ecological Guards: themed workshops for children focused on local biodiversity, including trees and wildlife.

There will also be numerous stands featuring presentations and tastings of local products, including those organized by the Consorzio Tutela Formaggella del Luinese and the Associazione Viticoltori Varesini.

Entertainment will include performances from the Olympic Fringe Festival, shows by the Frustatori di Ferno, country dancing, and cultural walking tours around the city.
