This itinerary will lead you through the picturesque Valle Olona, from Caronno Corbellaro with its panoramic church, passing by Castiglione Olona with its Renaissance Collegiate and the Monastery of Torba, to the historical remains of Castelseprio. A journey that mixes culture, natural landscapes and historical discoveries in an enchanting setting of Lombardy.

First stage: Caronno Corbellaro

• Admire the large meadow with views of the surrounding mountains and visit the ancient church of San Martino, a place of tranquility and spirituality.

Second stage: Castiglione Olona

• Go down a road that leads to the industrial area of Castiglione Olona, where a wagon of the historic Valmorea railway is preserved, in use from 1904 to 1977.
• Explore the village of Castiglione Olona, founded in late Roman times and remodeled in the Renaissance thanks to the intervention of Cardinal Branda Castiglioni. Admire the Collegiate with frescoes by Masolino da Panicale, the Baptistery and the church of SS. Body of Christ with its statues in sandstone.

Third stage: Monastery of Torba

• Continue along the cycle-pedestrian track of Valle Olona towards Gornate Olona. After about 3 km, you will arrive at the Monastery of Torba, UNESCO site and well FAI, with frescoes from the 8th century and remains of ancient walls.
• Admire the surrounding nature and rich wildlife that populates the valley, including porcupines, water crests, woodpeckers and cormorants.

Fourth stage: Castelseprio

• Complete your journey by visiting Castelseprio, where you can explore the remains of the ancient castrum and the church of S. Maria Foris Portas, known for its frescoes that tell scenes from Jesus' childhood.
