A route rich in history and natural beauty, where the trail follows the evocative Linea Cadorna, passing remnants of trenches and fortifications from World War I.

This easy and enjoyable walk starts in the upper pine forest of Montegrino Valtravaglia, home to the charming Laghetto di Montegrino. From here, you follow the scenic Alpine Soldiers’ Trail, winding through woodland rich in birch trees and pine forest, offering a peaceful natural setting.

The path then opens onto wide meadows beneath Monte Sette Termini, where breathtaking views unfold over Lago Maggiore and Luino, with the majestic Monte Rosa rising in the background.

Following the well-marked red and white trail signs, the route continues clearly to the vicinity of a mountain farmhouse. From here, a gentle road leads up toward the summit of Monte Sette Termini, completing a rewarding hike that blends history, nature, and unforgettable views.
