TRA SACRO E SACRO MONTE

The fourteenth edition of the "Tra Sacro e Sacro Monte" festival will return to the 14th Chapel between July 6 and 27.

Every Thursday evening great artists from the Italian drama scene will perform at Sacro Monte. The program will also include music, meetings for adults and children and many other events that will reach all the way to the city.

The Festival is produced by the Tra Sacro e Sacromonte Association in partnership with the Municipality of Varese, with the economic support of the Fondazione Comunitaria del Varesotto, Chamber of Commerce, and Fondazione Paolo VI, and with the fruitful collaboration between the various public and private entities in the area.


BELOW ARE ALL THE APPOINTMENTS

 

SIMONE CRISTICCHI: through music, he will lead us to observe through Dante's eyes an inner journey from darkness to light.

ATIR BY SERENA SINIGAGLIA: presents a work entitled "Grate," the wonderful story of a cloistered nun that brings us yet another new vision.

  • Pogliaghi House Museum

MARIA PAIATO: on the 150th anniversary of Alessandro Manzoni's death, she will show us how it took only one night, in that beautiful passage in The Betrothed, for the Unnamed One's gaze on Lucia to change forever.

GIACOMO PORETTI: with "Ask Me If I'm On Duty," he turns a gaze on the most fragile, the sick, through the perspective of comedy.

REREADING OF THE SCREENPLAY OF AMLETO. A STORY FOR THE CINEMA: written by Testori himself and brought to the stage by Rosario Tedesco and Pasquale Di Filippo.

CONVERSATION-SPECTRE WITH GIANCARLO GIANNINI: an evening also marked by the changing gaze also thanks to literature.

The Pogliaghi House Museum on the evenings of the performance on Tuesday, July 11, and July 25, will be exceptionally open to the public and can be visited at 8 p.m., immediately before the start of the performance.

  • Tickets cost: €12
  • Thursday-only subscription formula: 4 performances at a cost of €40
  • For Tuesday and Thursday prose performances, unsold tickets will be available for pre-sale at the Lodovico Pogliaghi House Museum from about 1 hour before the start of the performance

 

In case of rain, Thursday's performances will be moved inside the Basilica of San Vittore in the city center, while all other performances will take place regularly as scheduled.
