Laveno Mombello - On Saturday, June 15, 2024, the exhibition "Rediscovering Andloviz" was inaugurated at the MIDeC museum in Laveno Mombello, curated by Anty Pansera and Giacinta Cavagna di Gualdana. The event was attended by Mayor Luca Santagostino and Cultural Councillor Alice Gomiero. The exhibition, open to the public from tomorrow with the usual museum hours and tickets, explores the figure of Guido Andloviz, artistic director of SCI of Laveno from 1923 to 1971.
Significant aspects of his work are highlighted, such as his presence at the Milan Triennials, his contribution to sanitary design, and his work in furniture design. The exhibition catalog includes an itinerary in Laveno Mombello to admire the ceramic panel at Villa Frua. However, the itinerary ends at the State Railways Station due to the recent theft of Andloviz's vases.
The vernissage was attended by over 70 people, including collectors, the Friends of MIDeC association, and museum enthusiasts. The exhibition offers a selection of Andloviz's works from private collections, curated with the support of Giorgia Cerati. In this way, MIDeC continues to enhance the artistic heritage and industrial history of the Laveno factory, active from 1856 until the second half of the 20th century.
