On 29 May, Lombardy Day is celebrated, an official commemoration dedicated to historical memory, civic values, and the identity of the Lombard community.

The date recalls the historic Battle of Legnano, a symbol of the region’s roots and autonomy.

For the occasion, Piazza Città di Lombardia will host a day of free, public events from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., featuring activities dedicated to local excellence, traditions, and Lombard culture.
Visitors will be able to discover agricultural and artisanal products from the region, take part in “Lumbardialett,” an initiative aimed at preserving and promoting Lombard dialects, and enjoy entertainment designed for families and citizens.
During the day, Telelombardia will also record the programme “Sota el ciel de Lumbardia,” hosted by Giorgia Colombo, which will later be broadcast on Sunday afternoon.
