From 3 to 6 April 2026, Varese will once again take centre stage in youth basketball with the 47th edition of the Garbosi Trophy, one of the most anticipated tournaments dedicated to the new generations of the sport. The competition will bring together 32 teams in the Under 13 and Under 14 categories, with over 500 young athletes from across Italy.

Over the four days of the tournament, nearly 100 games will be played in various sports halls throughout the Province of Varese. The event will culminate on Easter Monday at the Varese Sports Hall, where the finals will take place: at 12:30 for the Under 13 category and at 14:30 for the Under 14 category. The traditional closing parade and the awards ceremony will follow.

The event is coordinated by Paolo Vittori, with the support of local institutions and sports clubs, and each year represents an important opportunity for connection and sharing—turning the tournament into a true celebration of sport, youth and passion for basketball.
