On the occasion of the FAI Summer Evenings, FAI properties extend their opening hours to offer a unique visit with special activities. The visit extends until sunset and beyond, allowing visitors to experience the summer evening atmosphere through a program of exclusive events.

Visitors can spend the whole day in contact with nature, walking barefoot in the woods, reading in outdoor libraries, and participating in guided explorations to recognize trees, plants, and insects. Activities also include searching for fireflies and nocturnal animals, listening to the sounds of the forest and the singing of birds.

The evenings are enriched with sunset picnics, aperitifs under ancient trees, concerts and performances under the stars, astronomy lessons, initiatives related to local traditions, cultural encounters at sunset, and guided walks to discover new views and territories full of beauty, surrounding the FAI properties.

Monastero di Torba:

• SATURDAY 22 JUNE 2024: 'Summer Solstice Festival'. The evening offers a guided tour of the tower and the church of the Monastery, followed by dinner in the internal courtyard at 8:30 pm, with the possibility of free visits until 10:30 pm, in a closed-door event.
• SATURDAYS 29 JUNE AND 13 JULY 2024: 'Twilight Visits'. The paintings of the Monastery illustrate the symbolism of colors in a guided tour that explores art, spirituality, and beliefs, with closed-door visits until 10:30 pm.
• SATURDAY 6 JULY 2024: 'Music at Sunset'. At 9:00 pm, in the ancient church, I Solisti Ambrosiani will perform in the concert of the Musica Sibrii Festival, with tickets available online and seats until sold out, while the Monastery closes at 10:30 pm and hosts the Ristorante Antica Torre.

Casa Macchi:

• FRIDAYS 28 JUNE AND 23 AUGUST 2024: 'Behind the Doors, Inside the Drawers'. Doors and drawers open to reveal the stories, tastes, and daily rituals of the inhabitants of a bourgeois residence between the 18th and 19th centuries. For the date of 28/06, there will also be the possibility to enjoy an aperitif to be paid locally € 15, in case of bad weather the event will be held anyway.
• FRIDAY 12 JULY 2024: 'Aperitif in... music and literature'. The event offers a meeting of narrated stories and traditional Varese and Lombard music, with an aperitif for €15 payable on site.
• FRIDAYS 26 JULY AND 09 AUGUST 2024: 'Aperitif in jazz'. The aperitif, at €15 payable on site, will be provided by Pasticceria Sara e Mariano di Morazzone, with musical accompaniment by "T'n'T Duo-Dyna Jazz" with Tarcisio Olgiati on sax and Nicola Tacchi on guitar; in case of bad weather, the event will be canceled.
• FRIDAY 6 SEPTEMBER 2024: 'Aperitif in... vintage'. The event offers entertainment that evokes the atmosphere of the 1920s with music, the reading of poems and prose, and the presence of original gramophones, with an aperitif available on site for €15 and the possibility of cancellation in case of bad weather.

Villa Della Porta Bozzolo:

• SATURDAYS 29 JUNE, 06-13-27 JULY, 03-17-24-31 AUGUST AND 7 SEPTEMBER 2024: 'Picnic at Sunset'. The monumental Italian garden of Villa will be open for guided tours and free entrances, offering an ideal place for sunset picnics, with hours from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
• 10-11 AUGUST AND 13 SEPTEMBER 2024: The Villa will open at 6 pm, offering the possibility to book a picnic basket at the internal restaurant I Rustici (by reservation only), while at 9:30 pm there will be a guided observation of the sky in the park, with the evening of Friday 13 September also including a conference by experts from the G.V. Schiaparelli Astronomical Observatory. Reservation strongly recommended.

Villa Panza:

• FAI Summer Evenings at Villa Panza: From June to September experience the FAI Properties until late at night.
