Events at Monastero di Torba

Here are some suggestions for the coming spring!

In the footsteps of the Lombards. Guided tour of Castelseprio and Torba
The tour will start from the archaeological site of Castelseprio, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011. This fortified complex stands on top of a hill at the mouth of the pre-Alpine valleys, where the Goths, Lombards, and Carolingians left traces of their presence, making it the legal and military center of a large territory. It will also be possible to visit the nearby noble oratory of Santa Maria foris portas, home to a cycle of frescoes considered among the greatest early medieval pictorial masterpieces in Europe. The tour will end at the Monastery of Torba, the first FAI property, whose tower was one of the complex's defensive elements.
The tour lasts approximately 2.5 hours.

When: Sunday, March 1, June 7, and September 6, 2026

Orario: 2.30 p.m.
