Christmas in the Art of Varese and its surroundings returns with six guided tours offered by Archeologistics, a journey to discover the most beautiful nativities among Varese's iconic places.

• From Friday  24^th November to Tuesday 26^th December 2023- Christmas markets

Starting from Friday 24th November 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., you will begin to foretaste the Christmas atmosphere in the city of Varese! The traditional markets, the lighting of the historic Christmas tree in Monte Grappa Square and the city's illuminations and many other magical novelties promoted by the City of Varese are waiting for you to experience the Christmas anticipation together!

Opening hours from November 24th to December 26th

Monday: from 3.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.
From Tuesday to Sunday: from 10.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.
On Sunday 24^th December 2023: from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Saturdays, Sundays and holidays until December 23^rd, 2023 there will be Santa Claus, Elves, Music and Children's Tricks in the square.

During the Christmas period, you can have fun in the company of friends and family by skating at the Giardini Estensi in Varese!

Holidays from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

• From Friday 8^th  to Sunday 24^th December 2023 - Santa's magical house 

Santa Claus will arrive in Biumo Inferiore on the following days: Friday 8^th, Sunday 10^th, Thursday 14^th, Saturday 16^th and Tuesday 19^th December, from 3.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. Toys that are no longer in use can be handed in, and the Toy House Association will take charge of delivering them to children in need.

• Friday 22^nd December 2023 - "Let's go everywhere and live" - Living Nativity 2023

Near Piazza San Vittore there will be the Living Crib - Avsi Christmas Tents from 3.30 pm. The Holy Representation will end on the parvis of the Basilica of San Vittore (directed by Andrea Chiodi)

• Friday 22^nd December 2023 - Bagpipers and Christmas 2023

From 6.00 p.m. through the streets of the center, bagpipe music will liven up the evening with Christmas melodies.

Visit VARESE... and you win!

The initiative envisages that, on weekends in December, gift cards will be distributed to visitors entering the Giardini Estensi to admire the new Christmas decorations, each with an indication to get a small free gift or gadget, paid by Distretto Urbano del Commercio, at the shops and public establishments participating in the initiative. The gift can be collected directly at the point of sale.

• Saturday 23^th December 2023 - Music and shows

At 6.00 p.m. the Varese city centre will resound with the touring jazz music in "New Orleans" style of the Lario Brass Band led by the famous Larian clarinettist Alfredo Ferrario!

This will be followed by the Mangiafuoco show of music, dance, juggling and fire-eating by Music For Green Events, in collaboration with the DUC inVarese.

• Saturday 23^th December 2023 - Piva Santa Band

From 2.00 p.m. through the streets of the Centre, travelling Christmas music by a colourful band of Santas.
At 5.00 p.m. closing with a small concert at the Estensi Gardens.

• Sunday 24^th December 2023 - The Christmas Clowns Combo Show

From 3.00 p.m. 'The Christmas Clowns Combo Show' organised by Muisc For Green Events, in collaboration with DUC inVarese, will invade the streets of the centre of Varese!

• Wednesday 27^th December 2023 - A Christmas Carol Musical

At 9.00 p.m. the BIT company presents 'A Christmas Carol Musical', based on the classic Christmas film that unites young and old!

• Thursday 28^th December 2023  - Gospel Concert

At the Basilica of San Vittore at 9:00 p.m. there will be a Gospel concert.

• Sunday 7 January 2023 - The village of Bethlehem

To conclude the Christmas season there will be a living nativity scene in the courtyard of the Bizzozzero oratory. The village of Bethlehem will open at 3:30 p.m..
For the occasion there will be many activities for adults and children.
