CTPI – INSUBRIA PUBLIC TRANSPORT CONSORTIUM:


With CTPI, you can travel in Varese city, the surrounding Varese area, and the northern part of the province. Transport is allowed as follows:

  • Free of charge: guide dogs accompanying blind or visually impaired passengers.
  • Free of charge: one small pet, wearing a muzzle, carried in your arms or in a container not exceeding 50x30x25 cm on any side.
  • Paid: other animals, wearing a muzzle and kept on a leash, according to the current fare.

Only one animal per passenger is allowed, and no more than two animals per vehicle, not including guide dogs for the visually impaired.


STIE – PUBLIC TRANSPORT SERVICE:


STIE provides public transport for the cities of Busto Arsizio and Saronno. Anyone holding a valid travel ticket may bring a small pet, provided the animal is equipped with a device to make it harmless (muzzle, cage, or carrier).

  • Transport of animals is allowed only with the purchase and validation of a travel ticket for the same route as the passenger.
  • The person accompanying the animal must ensure that it does not sit on the seats, soil or damage the vehicle, or disturb other passengers. In such cases, the accompanying person is responsible for any damages.
  • Guide dogs are allowed on buses free of charge.

ART – TRANSPORT REGULATION AUTHORITY:


ART manages all transport within the city of Gallarate. Pets are allowed on board, subject to the following rules:

  • Passengers may bring a small dog, after purchasing a ticket, provided the dog wears a muzzle and is held in their arms so as not to disturb other passengers.
  • Guide dogs for visually impaired passengers may travel free of charge without any restrictions.
