The itinerary connects the lombardian side of Lake Maggiore to Varese and it is mostly flat. It goes across many muncipalities, such as Gemonio, Cocquio Trevisago, Gavirate, Biandronno, Buguggiate, Azzate e Galliate. This is a good trail for the ones who love to discover cultural and enviromental beauties.

The itinerary crosses all the Valcuvia area, it starts from Lavena Ponte Tresa, and ends in Cittiglio, behind the FNM station. The path goes through different municipalities: Marchirolo, Cugliate Fabiasco, Cunardo, Cuveglio, Casalzuigno and Brenta. In the area there are also many trekking and mountain bike paths.
