Cascina Filip

Description

On the hills of Travedona Monate, overlooking Lake Varese, in the same rows where Pinot Blanc has been cultivated since 1870, Cascina Filip now grows Sauvignon Blanc and Traminer grapes for a small production of 'Filìp', a fruity and aromatic white wine of excellent quality.

Ca' dell'Orsa

Description

The Ca' dell'Orsa farm is located in Viggiù, a small village on the border with Switzerland, in the northern belt of the Varese Pre-Alps, in the Valle della Bevera nature park. Behind our vineyards watches over Monte Orsa, which, together with Monte San Giorgio, is a Unesco heritage site of great naturalistic value.

In this area, traces of viticulture were already present in the 18th century, unfortunately abandoned over the centuries.

Cantina Torrerossa

Description

Our project to recover viticulture in Varese began in 2011 with the precise aim of enhancing and protecting the territory, a heritage to be preserved for future generations, through the cultivation of wine grapes using organic methods and biodynamic practices.

In Varese, the city of lakes, historical vines such as Nebbiolo and Merlot and innovative vines such as Bronner and Solaris (PIWI vines) are cultivated in their vineyards and cellars: the latter have the characteristic of naturally resisting fungal diseases.
