Volandia Park and the Aviation Museum
Volandia has a fantastic exhibition that takes visitors on a journey through the history of international aviation, with a special focus on some of the legendary companies from the Varese area, Lombardy and Italian industry. The exhibition is divided into five areas: forms of flying, fixed-wing aircrafts, rotary-wing aircraft, model aeroplanes and convertiplanes.

The nineteenth-century dam of Panperduto, an important hydraulic junction, also called Canale Villoresi from the name of the engineer who designed it, today, as well as being its original function, is the starting point for beautiful walks along the Ticino river.

The route starts from the Melissa beach, a green lawn on the banks of the river Ticino a short distance from the town of Sesto Calende.
We leave the car in a large parking lot and near the river we cross the meadow, we walk a short stretch slightly uphill and we face the Dam Miorina.
