Situated on the lakeshore at the end of the Valtravaglia valley, about 4 km far from the Swiss border, Luino is the main town of the lombardian side of lake Maggiore. In addition to the tourist infopoint at the entrance of the palace, it houses the historical archives of Vittorio Sereni and Piero Chiara, a permanent collection, and it also hosts temporary exhibitions, as well as being a space for events and ceremonies.
