Naturalis Insubria APS is a social promotion association founded in 2020 by naturalists, environmental guides, and enthusiasts from the Varese area with a specific mission: to enhance, showcase, and bring to life the natural, cultural, and landscape heritage of Insubria.
Their experience combines scientific rigor, dissemination, environmental education, and cultural management to offer visitors, tourists, and residents a profound and engaging reading of the area.
They are a point of reference for those who wish to discover Varese beyond the simple landscape: its ecosystems, its natural history, its geological and biological traces, and the cultural connections that make this land unique.
For those who come to visit, Naturalis Insubria APS is an open door to insubrian nature: we accompany tourists and travellers to discover places such as the Campo dei Fiori Regional Park, the biodiversity of lake Varese and the typical landscapes of the Varese prealps, combining excursions with scientific and historical insights.
They are also the managers of the Civic Insubric Museum of Natural History of Clivio and Induno Olona, a museum that houses one of the most important collections in the region, with fossils, mineralogical finds, zoology, botany, and geology sections, as well as a Visitor Center dedicated to the UNESCO site of Monte San Giorgio.
SERVICES OFFERED:
The activities take place in natural settings in the province of Varese and incorporate elements of environmental education, orientation, scientific observation, and problem solving.
