Naturalis Insubria APS is a social promotion association founded in 2020 through the collaboration of naturalists, environmental guides, and enthusiasts from the Varese area, with a clear mission: to promote, share, and bring to life the natural, cultural, and landscape heritage of the Insubria region.

Their expertise combines scientific rigor, educational outreach, environmental education, and cultural management to offer visitors, tourists, and local residents an engaging and in-depth understanding of the territory.

For visitors arriving in the area, Naturalis Insubria APS represents a gateway to the nature of the Insubria region. The association guides tourists and travelers through places such as the Campo dei Fiori Regional Park, the biodiversity of Lake Varese, and the characteristic landscapes of the Varese Prealps, combining excursions with scientific and historical insights.
The association also manages the Civico Museo Insubrico di Storia Naturale, based in Clivio, a museum housing one of the region’s most important collections, including fossils, mineralogical specimens, and sections dedicated to zoology, botany, and geology, as well as a Visitor Center devoted to the UNESCO site of Monte San Giorgio.

SERVICES OFFERED:

• Guided excursions and interpretive tours: they lead groups and visitors on thematic excursions ranging from panoramic walks, including half-day experiences, to more structured hikes, offering a way to discover the area through its biodiversity, geological features, flora, and fauna.
• Tailor-made services and visits: they design customized tourism experiences for those wishing to explore Varese and its province, including day trips, thematic itineraries, and experiential activities aimed at promoting the territory in a sustainable and engaging way.
• Educational and museum activities: they offer workshops, guided museum tours, and cultural and scientific events for individuals, groups, and families. The museum provides visitors with an opportunity to better understand the local natural history and plan excursions inspired by what they discover inside the collections.
• Collaborations and territorial projects: they work with institutions, local authorities, schools, and scientific partners to ensure that every experience becomes an authentic discovery of the territory, promoting conscious and sustainable tourism.
• Team building: they create tailor-made experiential programs for companies, institutions, and organized groups wishing to strengthen collaboration and team cohesion through the exploration of the local area.

Naturalis Insubria APS relies on Environmental Hiking Guides (GAE) who are regularly registered with the Italian Association of Environmental Hiking Guides.
The guides operate in compliance with current regulations, are covered by professional liability insurance, and are authorized to accompany both groups and individuals throughout Italy and abroad.
