The Laveno Express is a historic train offering a journey through nostalgia in carriages dating back to the 1930s and 1950s. It departs from Milano Centrale and travels to Laveno, following the same railway line that opened in 1886.

During the journey, passengers can enjoy the landscape and the unique atmosphere of the vintage carriages. The event, organised by the FS Foundation and Treni Turistici Italiani with the support of the Lombardy Region, offers an alternative travel experience, allowing participants to leave their cars at home and spend a different day.

The Laveno Express is an opportunity for families, cycle tourists and couples of all ages to explore the region and enjoy a day at Lake Maggiore. Photographs and videos are welcome during the trip, allowing passengers to immortalise the experience.
