“Evolve, swim, love“ is the claim chosen to launch the 2022 edition of the open water swimming challenge reaching 9 stages, starting from the traditional ones in Maccagno and Monate all the way down to Noli, Ischia, Baratti, Vulcano, Peschiera del Garda and to the new entries of Lignano Sabbiadoro and Genova Boccadasse.

On the 18th and 19th of June, Travedona Monate will host the season opening with the "Traversata dei Pionieri", for the first time spread on a two-days period. The competition will begin with the classic "hard swim" of 5000mt, followed by the new and suggestive "smile swim" of 1,8k. The following day it will be time for the historic "super smile swim" of 2500mt, followed by the relay.

Confirmed is also the the stage of Maccagno on 17th July, actual staple of the Italian open water movement, thanks to its unique and intense races, such as the "circumnavigazione dei Castelli di Cannero".
