For motor racing fans, from 9.00 of Friday 24^th to 18.00 of Saturday 25^th February comes the 31st edition of the Varese International Rally dei Laghi, which will open the "Zone 2" Cup calendar. This year's event is divided into three stages: the modern rally, the historic re-enactment rally and the regularity sport category race.

Kicking off the event on Friday evening is the "Magugliani Arena" show trial, a show open to all that will be staged at the Varese racecourse "Le Bettole". 

On Saturday 25^th February there will be two passages on Cuvignone (from Nasca to Cittiglio-Puzitt), two on Sette Termini (from Montegrino to Cugliate Fabiasco) and two on Valganna (Ganna to Ghirla via Boarezzo) for a total of almost seventy kilometres. 

The event will end on Saturday afternoon at the Schiranna in Varese with the arrival and prize-giving of the winning drivers.
