A guided tour will be held in the eighteenth-century garden of Villa Della Porta Bozzolo, located a few kilometers from Lake Maggiore. The sculpted terraces, flower beds, belvedere, and various botanical essences make it one of the most beautiful gardens in Lombardy. The tour, led by Marco Foghinazzi, will explore the secrets of the garden and ongoing enhancement projects.

Additionally, there will be a tasting of FAI honey, produced by the Foundation for the Protection of Bees.

SUNDAY, JUNE 2, 2024 "Botanical Treasure Hunt"

An event to discover the history of the park at Villa Della Porta Bozzolo, the roses, the history of the Della Porta family, and the restoration of the villa's gardens. The guided tour, led by FAI educators, will start from the Italian-style parterre and will pass through the rose garden, the espaliered orchard, and the large green theater.

The guide will provide botanical clues to recognize plants and flowers in the garden. The treasure hunt is by reservation only.

During the day, guided tours of the Villa will also be held, also by reservation.

AUGUST 10-11 AND SEPTEMBER 13, 2024

From 9:30 PM, guided sky observations will take place in the park of Villa Della Porta Bozzolo, with real-time views of the moon and planets projected on a large screen. On Friday, September 13, in addition to the guided observation, there will be a lecture by experts from the G.V. Schiaparelli Astronomical Observatory at 8:30 PM, featuring a comparative astronomy lesson between the skies of the two hemispheres.

The villa will open from 6:00 PM, and it will be possible to reserve a picnic basket at the onsite restaurant "I Rustici," to be enjoyed while waiting for the sunset. Reservation highly recommended.
