The event InFiorita Ispra, with its motto "Flourish for Living", wants to give visitors a weekend of cultural reflection about the environment and everything that is "green".

The event and the walk on the lake

• It 'an opportunity not to be missed to spend a day walking in a fascinating nature, surrounded by beautiful flowers and botanical curiosities (flowers and plants recovered from the past)
• It’s an opportunity for families to spend time together in a place free from traffic and noise, within the beautiful Parco Golfo della Quassa, with proposals aimed at the knowledge of this and with the possibility not only to enjoy the natural beauty and on display, but also to buy plants, flowers, food and artifacts of a territory full of charm and sometimes little known.

Food and refreshment

• The different proposals for refreshments this year will be located in islands along the route to allow visitors a variety of choice for all tastes and for all needs. The charm of the place will certainly favor to take advantage of a moment of pleasant relaxation.
• Those interested in the food of the surrounding area and valleys will be offered the opportunity to learn, taste and buy typical specialties of high level.

Tourism, curiosities and culture

• The two days will allow you to explore the event and our main tourist attractions: for example the paths along the lake to discover the old furnaces or inside the Park of the Gulf of Quassa, looking for the suggestion of an unspoilt environment or to visit the Park of Monte del Prete, currently undergoing botanical recovery, ending with a natural terrace overlooking the lake allowing a breathtaking view.
• During the event will be organized cultural events related to the theme of nature, the main protagonist of this event.
• You can access the services of a "green clinic" to get expert advice on plant problems, their characteristics and their needs
• Guided tours will be organized to the "secret gardens", particular realizations with perennial plants, rare and unusual, of private gardens

The kids protagonists of InFiorita

For younger visitors there are several leisure activities: you can spend time in the playground (there is also a swing for children with mobility difficulties), and go to the discovery of new entertainment tools; for older children are organized educational activities "tailored" to investigate the wonderful world of animals and plants.  All level proposals, submitted and assisted by teaching staff, local environmental and sports associations.

How to reach the event

By car:

• Coming from Milan you can take the A8 motorway towards Varese. When you reach Gallarate, turn left towards Gravellona Toce and exit at Vergiate-Sesto Calende. Exit the highway, take the SS n.33 towards Sesto Calende and arrived in the center of Sesto Calende turn left onto the SS n. 629 towards Laveno Mombello.
• Coming from Varese take the SS n. 394 in the direction of Laveno Mombello and, arrived in Gavirate take direction Ispra-Angera.

Ample parking availability near the lakefront.

By bus:

• Ispra is connected by a bus line operated by private transport services. The line is the line VARESE-ANGERA-SESTO C.-MILANO managed by the company Autolinee Varesine (0332.731110).

By train:

• Trenitalia. Coming from Milan you can get to Sesto Calende Station and then take the bus line SESTO CALENDE-ANGERA-VARESE managed by Autolinee Varesine.
• Trenord. Get to Gavirate Station and then take the bus line VARESE-SESTO CALENDE-ANGERA managed by the company Autolinee Varesine.

Timetable

Opening at 11:00 on Saturday 15^th April and closing at 20:00 on Sunday 16^th April.

In case of bad weather the event will be held on 22^nd and 23^rd April.
