The route starts from the Melissa beach, a green lawn on the banks of the river Ticino a short distance from the town of Sesto Calende.
We leave the car in a large parking lot and near the river we cross the meadow, we walk a short stretch slightly uphill and we face the Diga Miorina.
A short distance from the dike you take a wide path that goes up to Monte Gagliasco, which is actually a morainic hill full of chestnut, Scotch pines and oaks. Once passed the clearing you reach the necropolis of Monsorino, of the autochthonous civilization of Golasecca, with the characteristic circle structures (cromlech) that enclose one or more burials. From here the path takes place in a ring around the top of the mountain. Along the way you pass next to a valley dug by water over the centuries, to which you must pay attention because the edge, landslide, is not protected. Returning to the necropolis we descend back to the dam and finish the ring.
